Yolk slices

 Yolk slices for plates

Yolk slices - they simply belong to Christmas! For many, they are associated with the idea of a traditional Christmas at mom's, grandma's... Because our grandmothers already baked it - whether in the cities or in the village. Relive the memory of this unique taste of nut dough with yolk frosting and include this nice coffee cookie in your obligatory Christmas baking drive! The Orava SL-400 C hand mixer with a stable mixing bowl will help you with its preparation, thanks to which you will avoid minor kitchen accidents when baking.

Ingredients:

Dough: whites of 6 eggs, 250 g of powdered sugar, 150 g of semi-coarse flour, 250 g of butter, 300 g of ground nuts, 1 package of baking powder

Topping: 6 egg yolks, 250 g powdered sugar

How to do it:

  1. Beat the soft butter in the bowl of the Orava SL-400 C hand mixer together with the sugar, gradually add the nuts and, alternately, stiff snow from the egg whites and sifted flour with baking powder.
  2. Grease and flour the baking sheet, pour the dough on it and bake in an oven heated to 180 0C for about 30-35 minutes.
  3. Beat the egg yolks with caster sugar. While the cake is still hot, pour a little frosting to make a thin crust on it. Only then pour the rest of the frosting and smooth it out.
  4. Let the cake dry completely and cool.
  5. It is best to cut it with a heated knife.

Bon Appetit!
